Renovation to stay
Located in Sydney’s North Shore, this 1930s California bungalow had received a second story extension in the 80’s which added much needed space but didn’t quite provide the open plan living area that was desired.
Having rented the property out for a few years prior to moving in, the clients had plenty of time to think about what they would like to do with the spaces. The brief was to create a contemporary open plan living area with a new kitchen, a defined Master suite, and update the façade, all whilst keeping the remaining features of the original bungalow.
The clients are extremely happy with the end result. Due to a change in circumstances, the home was rented just after completing the renovation and provided a 42% increase in weekly rental from what they were receiving 3 years prior.
